What is groundwater? how do they differ from interstratal waters?

Groundwater is at the very surface of the earth. They often come to the surface in the form of streams and springs. Groundwater is formed due to precipitation, wet temperature. If the area is dry for a long time without precipitation, then the amount of groundwater will significantly decrease. Water also increases in quantity during the melting of snow. Groundwater differs from interstratal water in that it is closer to the earth’s surface. Interstratal waters are more suitable for human consumption, they are much cleaner than groundwater.
