What is on the front and back ends of the earthworm’s body?

The body of the earthworm is divided into segments. They resemble rings. Large earthworms consist of many segments.

At the front end of the worm is the brain and mouth. The lip-like head is in front of the mouth. Earthworms use their pharynx to deliver food to their mouth.

At the back end of the earthworm’s body is the anus, which secretes waste.

Earthworms breathe and lose moisture through their skin. Light-sensitive cells are distributed throughout their skin. They give the skin the ability to detect light. Skin cells are also sensitive to touch and chemicals.
