What is the assessment of the process of world globalization?

From one point of view, the processes of globalization, sooner or later, should lead to the erosion of borders between states, voluntary entry into political international associations, the growth of tolerance and religious tolerance, the displacement of civilizational centers of cultures or their complete elimination.
Nevertheless, a number of researchers believe that the world society today is generally not ready for such global changes, and therefore the positive aspects of globalization will be greeted with xenophobia, the growth of nationalism, the militarization of states, and new ethnic conflicts.
