What is the biological role of seeds in life in the life of a flowering plant?

The appearance of seeds is the result of sexual reproduction of plants. With the help of seeds, plants multiply and spread in any territory. Seeds can be spread in different ways:

– with the help of the wind, for this they have special outgrowths, for example, maple “wings”;

– with the help of animals, for this purpose the seeds have special outgrowths, for example, “hooks” of a burdock;

– with the help of birds, birds eat the seeds or fruits of the plant, while the seeds are not digested in the stomach, but are carried by birds at a fairly large distance.
