What is the chemical feature of unsaturated hydrocarbons?

Hydrocarbons, or molecules that contain hydrogen atoms and carbon atoms that are bonded to each other and may or may not contain other atoms, fall into two different categories: saturated and unsaturated.

Unlike saturated hydrocarbons, in which all hydrogen and carbon atoms are linked together by single bonds, unsaturated hydrocarbons have double or even triple bonds between carbon atoms. This makes unsaturated hydrocarbons even more reactive than saturated hydrocarbons and also has fewer hydrogen atoms bonded to carbon atoms than saturated hydrocarbons.
