The climate in Ancient Mesopotamia was dry and hot. Summer lasted for about six months. Very often the air temperature rose to + 50-60 degrees. Precipitation was very scarce and fell only in winter. On the northern side, snow sometimes fell in winter. It rained in summer, autumn and spring. A strong wind was blowing from the Persian Gulf, which raised large waves.
