The respiratory system of mammals is more developed than that of reptiles. Mammals have multiple bronchi that end in pulmonary vesicles. But more primitive lungs do not interfere with the normal existence of reptiles. They normally live with such a lung structure, with a three-chambered heart and cold-bloodedness. But this does not mean that no evolutionary changes occur in their organisms. It’s just that at this stage they are not noticeable to us and there are no special environmental factors that would cause the emergence of new adaptations.
