What is the connection between paganism and the nature surrounding man?

The connection is that ancient people deified the forces of nature, that is, they believed in deities who personified natural phenomena. For example, our ancestors believed in different gods. One of them was Perun. He was considered the god of thunder and lightning, that is, he personified the heavenly element, which could unleash hurricanes and lightning on people. There was also a wind god – Stribog; the sun god – Yarilo, the fire god Svarog, etc. This is how pagan beliefs developed among ancient people.
