What is the dependence of an animal on vegetation?

Animals are directly dependent on the flora. Since plants are in most cases at the beginning of the food chain. Herbivores feed only on plant organisms. Without plants, a whole group of herbivores became extinct from lack of food. As a result, predators that feed on herbivores would also become extinct. Likewise, omnivores could not exist without plants and animals that they feed on. This can be seen when fields are destroyed. All animals migrate to places where there are plants or die.
