What is the diagonal section of a prism?

If you take a prism, mark on it two opposite edges (which are diagonally to each other, and not on one face of the figure) and draw a plane through them – this will be the diagonal section of the prism. In other words, a diagonal section is a plane that divides the volumetric prism diagonally from one edge to another. A straight prism will have a diagonal section of a rectangle, an oblique one will have a parallelogram.
