What is the difference between a cyclone and an anticyclone?

Pressure. Cyclones are characterized by low pressure in the center of the atmospheric vortex, while anticyclones are characterized by increased pressure.
Air direction. In the center of the cyclone the direction of air movement is ascending, in the center of the anticyclone is descending.
Air movement inside the vortex. Inside the cyclones, the air moves from the outskirts to the center, its direction is counterclockwise. As for anticyclones, here the opposite is true: the air moves from the center to the outskirts, turning clockwise.
Formation of weather. Cyclones are a symbol of change: there is a high probability of precipitation, strong winds, and the appearance of thick clouds. Anticyclones, on the other hand, bring dry weather, no wind and clouds.
