What is the difference between a lake and a forest as natural communities?

If we talk about food webs, then in the pond there will be much fewer producers in terms of instantaneous (at the moment) mass, while in the forest the mass of producers far exceeds the mass of consumers. This is due to the fact that most of the producers of the pond are microorganisms, which, on the one hand, multiply very quickly, and on the other, are eaten by consumers with the same tremendous speed. This pattern is also typical for larger bodies of water, for example, the seas.
