What is the difference between a resistor and a thermistor?

A resistor is a device that has a constant resistance R to electric current. Its value does not depend on other parameters. A thermistor (thermistor) is a device whose resistance to electric current, R, depends on its temperature. When its temperature changes, its resistance changes. There are thermistors in which, as their temperature rises, their resistance increases. When their temperature rises, their resistance decreases. Also, thermistors are classified depending on their operating temperature: low temperature (below 170 “K), medium temperature (170-510” K), for high temperatures (above 510 “K).
