What is the difference between development with incomplete transformation and development with complete transformation?
With incomplete transformation, insects go through 3 stages of development, namely:
1. Egg
2. Larva
3. Adult (imago)
Larvae emerge from the eggs, which outwardly resemble adults of their own species.
With complete transformation, insects have an additional stage – the pupal stage, which is intermediate between the larva and the imago, immobile. Larvae appear that do not look like adults of their own species
