What is the difference between fertilization and pollination?

Pollination is the transfer of pollen (male germ cells) to the pistil by messengers. And from the stigma, the stamens of sperm reach the egg, which is located in the lower part of the pistil. Insects, animals, wind and humans can act as a mediator. In the case of man as a pollination mediator, such pollination is called artificial.
Fertilization means the fusion of the germ cells.
Thus, fertilization in plants is impossible without pollination. The result of pollination is the transfer of male gametes to the pistil, and the result of fertilization is the appearance of the embryo of the future plant.
