What is the difference between gastropods bivalve molluscs? What are their similarities?

The body of gastropods is the leg, torso, and head. The shell has a spiral shape with a different number of turns. The leg is located on the ventral side of the body, hence the name of the class – gastropods. There are peculiar sense organs – eyes and tentacles on the head.

Bivalve molluscs have a shell of two valves. The body of bivalves is the trunk and the leg. The head is missing. No sense organs.

Representatives of both classes have one thing in common: a soft body protected by a shell, a mantle, an open circulatory system.
