The difference between humor and satire is that humor evokes a cheerful, good-natured laugh. Satire, on the contrary, mocks at some characters or actions, laughs at all the vices of the heroes, makes fun of them. The following works can be called satirical: “Fat and Thin”, “Chameleon” – Chekhov, “Life and Collar” – Teffi, “Case History” – Zoshchenko, “The Inspector General” – Gogol, “The Tale of the Shemyakin Court”.
