What is the difference between mosses and algae?

Seaweed. All of them are talophytes, since the plant body has no root, stem or leaves. They are all aquatic. They are all autotrophic as they produce their own organic foods using sunlight and chlorophyll. The process of sexual reproduction is either isogamous and anisogamous conjugation or fertilization.

Mosses. In terms of evolution, they are taller than algae, and most likely evolved from them. Some of them have a leaf-like root and other similar organs, but these are not real roots, stem and leaves. They all require a moist habitat, but will refuse to grow in water. All of them are autotrophic in nutrition, like algae. The process of sexual reproduction is higher than that of algae, and this is always fertilization (male and female gametes are very different from each other, like in animals).
