| Predation is when one organism attacks another organism, kills it and eats it. Predators hunt, they chase, catch, destroy the prey. They have a characteristic hunting behavior. Examples include a wolf and a hare, a peregrine falcon and a mouse, a fox and a ferret, and much more. Parasitism is a completely different concept. The parasite gets along in the body of an animal (host) and lives off its nutrients. A host carrying a parasite in his body can die when time passes, or he can live until natural death occurs. It all depends on the parasite. Examples: leeches, roundworms, bovine tapeworm and others.
