What is the difference between raster and vector image preparation?

A raster image consists of pixels that are interconnected by border regions of the color spectrum. Vector images are formed from basic graphic objects, for each of which the coordinates of anchor points, drawing formulas for the object, as well as the color, thickness and line style of its contour are specified. A raster image is very sensitive to enlargement or reduction, in contrast to vector images, which do not have such a disadvantage. Also, a distinctive feature of a raster image from a vector image is its size. Even the smallest bitmap will weigh more than a vector image.
