What is the difference between raster and vector ways of presenting information?

A raster image is made up of many dots, which can have different colors and brightness. The finer the points in the image and the more there are, the sharper the image. And if the eye no longer distinguishes the size of the points, then we see a clear picture. This is the principle used to build images on all personal computers. Vector graphics are composed of anchor points and vector lines connecting them. The vector image file contains information about the positions of the points, as well as a curve function along the control points.
