What is the difference between saprophytic fungi and parasites?

Fungi are heterotrophs, that is, they receive organic matter from the external environment, using autotrophs (plants) or other heterotrophs for this.
Fungi are also subdivided into parasites, saprotrophs and mutualists according to the way of feeding.
Parasitic fungi use another living organism as a source of nutrition to ensure their vital activity, thereby causing harm to it.
Saprotrophic fungi, in turn, use dead organic material to obtain the necessary nutrients.
Thus, the difference between parasites and saprotrophs is that parasites use a living organism for their purposes, and saprophytes use a dead one.
