What is the difference between swifts and swallows?

Firstly, swifts differ from swallows in that swifts belong to the swift-like order, and swallows belong to the passerine order, although they are very similar in appearance to each other. Secondly, the swallow has a white breast, and the swift is all black. Thirdly, the swift flies much faster than a swallow. Fourthly, the structure of the paws of these birds is different: the swallow has four toes on its paws, directed forward, and the swallow has three forward and one backward, so the swallow can sit on wires and branches, but the swallow cannot. Sixth, the swift emits a characteristic squeak-squeal during flight, while the swallow does not make sounds during flight. Seventh, the swift is slightly larger than a swallow.
