What is the difference between the ancient Olympic Games and the modern ones?

If we talk about the Olympic Games in antiquity and in our time, then there are many differences. The first thing I want to say is that the ancient games were, first of all, a great cultural event. The ancient games were always held in Olympia, there was a limited range of disciplines, and only men competed. Both men and women take part in modern games, and the games are held every four years in different countries of the world and on different continents. There are also significantly more sports.

Differences between ancient sports competitions from modern ones:

1) The ancient Olympiad took place over 5 days, and in our modern time it takes place over 16 days;

2) Women were not allowed to the ancient competitions, in our time everyone can take part, that is, both men and women;

3) In ancient times, there was a ban, so foreigners were not allowed to play, but in our time there is no such ban.

One of the components of a person's success in our time is receiving modern high-quality education, mastering the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for life in society. A person today needs to study almost all his life, mastering everything new and new, acquiring the necessary professional qualities.
