What is the difference between the unification of Spain and how it happened in England and France?

The provinces of England or France had a single language and a single religion. If in the course of their unification there were some kind of wars and conflicts, they ended, as a rule, with reconciliation.

With the unification of Spain, everything was much more complicated. In the VIII century, after the Arab invasion, the Arabs held about 80% of the entire territory of the country, which then the Spaniards had to seize back within seven centuries. Hence the Spanish name for those events – Reconquista, i.e. “Conquest”.
