What is the educational tissue of the stem made of?
Let’s figure out the definition of fabric. Tissue is such a stable system, consisting of cells and intercellular spaces, all of the same origin and common functions. Several types of such tissues are distinguished in a plant (we indicate the main ones):
– integumentary;
– mechanical;
– conductive;
– aerenchem;
– meristem (educational), etc.
Let’s talk more about educational fabric.
In its composition, one can distinguish: – initials and their derivatives. These cells divide throughout their life as long as the plant lives. Derivatives of initials are distinguished: 1) primary meristems and 2) secondary meristems. Meristems also differ in name depending on their location (apical, intercalary, traumatic, and lateral). As the plant develops, apical (apical) meristems appear on each root and lateral shoot. Thanks to them, the plant grows in length.
