What is the essence of the budding process?

Budding is a method of asexual reproduction, a type of vegetative reproduction. Thus, some fungi and some multicellular ones multiply. A striking example of such reproduction is such a coelenterate as hydra. A growth appears on the body of the mother’s body, which, by further cell division, grows and eventually turns into a young hydra. Then this hydra is separated from the parent organism and can exist independently of the parent organism.
