What is the form of government in Rome?

The Roman state for the entire period of its existence, from the eighth century BC to the fourth century AD, was governed by three different methods. First, Rome was ruled by kings, the first of whom was the legendary Romulus who established the city of Rome. After the last king was expelled by the townspeople, a republican method of government was established in Rome, where important decisions were made in the Senate. From the first century BC, Rome became an empire, and the emperors ruled this country until the very end.
