Plant growth has 2 characteristics.
1. The plant grows throughout its life, forming new cells.
2. In plants, at the points of growth there are educational tissues – meristems, the main function of which is the creation of new cells by division. In addition, the formation of new meristems is possible. In such cases, some permanent tissues undergo dedifferentiation and acquire the ability to divide.
