What is the function of the eyepiece?

The eyepiece is a very important part of the microscope. It is necessary for focusing the image and, in principle, the ability to see images, since the eyepiece consists of lenses. It is located at the top of the microscope tube. It is through the eyepiece that we look when studying the preparation. The eyepiece was refined in the microscope by Robert Hooke. It was thanks to the improvement of the optical device that Hooke saw and described living cells, a sperm and an egg. Some microscopes have two eyepieces for viewing the sample under study with two eyes at once.
