The exocrine activity of the pancreas consists in the release into the duodenum of pancreatic juice containing enzymes (trypsin, lipase, maltase, lactase, etc.) involved in digestion, and intrasecretory activity in the production of hormones (insulin, lipocoin, glucogen).
