What is the lichen group of organisms?

Lichens are organisms that form as a result of the symbiosis of unicellular algae and fungi or bacteria. The symbiosis of compound organisms of lichens is mutually beneficial. A fungus or bacteria from the environment (mainly from the atmosphere) get water, without which the algae could not survive. They also deliver chemical elements from the surface on which they grow. A fungus or bacterium obtains organic substances from the alga, which it synthesizes as a result of photosynthesis.
