What is the main source of energy for all living things?

The main source of energy for all living things is glucose. It is synthesized by plants during photosynthesis from inorganic substances. Plants are autotrophs. All other organisms are heterotrophs. They cannot synthesize glucose on their own. Therefore, heterotrophs eat autotrophs. Some animals are not adapted to digesting plants, so they eat other heterotrophs (herbivores). For carnivores, herbivores are the “mediator” between plants. In addition to glucose, fats, proteins and various carbohydrates can be used for energy.
