What is the most characteristic feature of the climate in Africa, Australia and South America?

Australia is the driest continent on earth. The location of the continent determines the flow of a huge amount of solar radiation and, as a result, a constant high air temperature. Pacific air masses do not bring enough precipitation and as a rule 40% of the territory receives only 250 mm of precipitation per year.
South America is the wettest continent. The maximum amount of precipitation is about 3000 mm. in year. The mainland is located in the temperate, tropical, subtropical, equatorial and subequaterial zones.
Africa is the hottest continent, because the entire territory of Africa is located in hot climatic zones. In the north is the largest desert – the Sahara, in the south – the Kalahari. This continent has the highest temperature on Earth (58.4C).
