What is the name of the method for killing bacteria by high temperature?

The process of killing bacteria by heat is called sterilization. Sterilization is carried out so that pathogenic bacteria do not get into water, food, medical instruments, dishes, clothes and shoes. Sterilization can be done in different ways:

– boiling (sterilization of water when it is heated);

– steam treatment, since the steam has a very high temperature (steam sterilization of cans before canning);

– heating objects (e.g. medical instruments in an autoclave).
