The science that studies seasonal periodic processes in the life of plant and animal organisms is called phenology (Greek phaino – I show, illuminate and logos – doctrine). Phenology as a science deals with the study of the development of sprouts and flowering of plants, their migration. Phenology also studies the reproduction and age characteristics of animals and birds. Scientists involved in this area of science are called phenologists.
