What is the name of the socio-economic process, which is discussed in the text below? The population of the city changes during the day. On a weekday in any large city there will be more people than at night due to those who come to work, for services, on vacation, etc. On a summer day off, there will be much fewer people in the city: many will go on vacation or weekend out of town.

In this case, the population changes either upward or downward. It resembles a spring from the side: it stretches and contracts. The population in the city similarly increases during the day, and decreases noticeably closer to night. In physics, there is the concept of a pendulum. There is also a spring pendulum, which includes the spring mechanism described just above. That is why the name of this effect was given “Pendulum migration”.
