What is the peculiarity of China’s development in the 1940-70s?

After the end of hostilities, the PRC began to pursue an open policy and carry out reforms, due to which it combined the communist system with capitalist capabilities. As a result, they developed their economy and became one of the most powerful and economically independent states.
