What is the peculiarity of the glands of mixed secretion?

Glands of mixed secretion simultaneously perform the functions of both exocrine and endocrine glands, i.e. and secrete enzymes for digestion and hormones directly into the blood. The pancreas is a mixed secretion gland. It secretes pancreatic juice, the enzymes of which break down proteins and carbohydrates, as well as hormones: insulin to regulate blood sugar, promotes the absorption of glucose, converts glucose into glycogen, and glucagon, which has the opposite effect, converting glycogen into glucose.
