What is the relationship between platforms and lithospheric plates?

A platform is a stable area of the earth’s surface. In contrast to the platform, the lithospheric plate is a larger formation. A plate is a large portion of the earth’s crust and the upper mantle of a planet that has motion. The plate consists of platforms and geosynclines. Several platforms can be located on one plate. There is no volcanic or seismic activity on the platform. The mountain building process is not going on on the platform. In the structure of the platforms, a sedimentary cover and a crystalline basement are distinguished.
