What is the significance of J. Cook?

During his lifetime, Cook collected as many as three expeditions. Thanks to them, they were marked on the map and studied: Canada, Australia, New Zealand. In addition, they managed to understand the exact limits of the Pacific Ocean and the many islands belonging to it. Cook paid a lot of attention, first of all, to cartography, which made it possible to accurately mark on the maps all the discoveries he made.
