What is the significance of legume plants in the life of nature?

They are the only ones on our planet capable of binding atmospheric nitrogen and transferring it to legumes and receiving the necessary organic substances from plants. Thanks to nodule bacteria, legumes, and from them and animals, receive proteins. After the death of plants, many nitrogen compounds remain in the soil, which means that other plants receive this element, which is necessary for the synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids.
