What is the significance of the creation of a unified Russian state in the second half of the 15th – early 16th century?

The creation of a single state under Ivan III made it possible to more effectively resist external threats, that is, the Tatar khanates, Sweden and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

The single Russian state immediately gained weight in the international arena, the economy revived, since the raids and internal wars stopped, for example, in the 1440s a war was going on between the descendants of Dmitry Donskoy, which, of course, led to the ruin of some cities and villages.

The unified state quickly acquired the Code of Law, and the army also became larger and stronger.
