What is the significance of the dispute in the life of mosses?

Spores are very important in the life of mosses and fungi. Spores serve as a breeding ground. They are similar in principle to dandelion seeds. When the time comes to multiply, the spore boxes open and the wind carries them to different distances. In rainy or wet weather, the spore bolls do not open, this usually happens in dry and windy weather, when there are good chances to bring the spores as far as possible. You can see them quite easily on moss. These are tall, usually yellow growths that protrude above the green moss.
