What is the structure of a plant flower?

The flower is attached to the stem with a peduncle. It expands and forms a receptacle, to which the perianth is attached. The perianth consists of green leaflets that form a calyx and colored petals that make up the corolla. The perianth protects the main parts of the flower – the pistil and stamens, without which the formation of the fruit is impossible, and attracts pollinating insects. In the pistil, a stigma, a column and an expanded part – an ovary are distinguished. The fruit is formed from the ovary. The stamen has an anther and a filament.
