What is the structure of a plant seed?

Plant seeds have a fairly simple structure. They may be different, but in general they are very similar. Any seed has a protective shell. It serves to protect the embryo from external hazards, gastric juice of animals, which often serve as carriers of seeds, etc. Inside the seed there is one embryo and a certain amount of storage substances that nourish the embryo and help it germinate. The embryo is in a state of “sleep” until suitable conditions for germination come, when the chance of plant survival is high.
