What is the structure of the atmosphere?

The atmosphere is the air envelope that surrounds the planet. Consists of 4 layers:
1) Troposphere – located at a distance of 10-20 km from the earth. Various air masses, clouds and precipitation are formed in the troposphere, and air moves.
2) Stratosphere – located 50 km from the ground above the troposphere. There is an increased concentration of ozone, which absorbs ultraviolet radiation.
3) Mesosphere – at an altitude of 80-90 km from the ground. The density of the air decreases, the main energy process is radiant heat transfer.
4) Thermosphere – distance 80-800 km. Minimum air density. Auroras and magnetic storms are observed due to the large number of charged particles.
