What is the structure of the protozoan cell?

The cells of protozoa have, in principle, almost a similar structure, but each species has its own characteristics. The main components are the cytoplasm and the nucleus, some of them even have several. The cytoplasm is bounded by the cytoplasmic membrane, the pellicle, and even a silica shell. The organs of movement are also present: flagella, cilia, pseudopodia. Digestion is provided by the digestive vacuoles. The contractile vacuoles carry out osmoregulation and remove the products of dissimilation and excess water.
