What is the symmetry of red coral?

Red coral is a coral polyp that exists in the form of bare sea bushes, is a representative of coelenterates. Red coral, as it is also called “noble”, has a branched structure in which the branches are arranged in ray symmetry. In living specimens, skeletal branches are covered with a soft, bright red cover, from which numerous protruding white polyps protrude – they have an outgrowth of eight feathery tentacles forming octameric (eight-dimensional) radial symmetry.
