What is the topography of the bottom of the World Ocean?

The seabed of the world’s oceans is mostly flat. When the land ends and the ocean begins, a small section of the bottom slopes slightly. In such places, the depth does not exceed several hundred meters. After that, the ocean quickly deepens and an underwater plain begins, which is sometimes called absolute or abyssal depth. Its flat surface is sometimes interrupted by mountain ranges and faults. In general, the ocean floor is less cut than the land surface.
